FIRE & GAS TECHNICIAN (Instrument Technician):

• At least Technical Graduate or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Computer Engineering / Technology or Industrial Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
• Minimum of 2 - 5 years working experience as Fire & Gas Detection Device Technician (Electronics & Instrumentation) in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Industrial Projects.
• Must be conversant with different types of detectors such as optical and ionization smokes ultra-violet and infra red flames, particle beam and oil mist detectors as well as Toxic and Combustible gas monitoring and detection.
• Must be conversant with Fire & Gas Detection System.
• Must be knowledgeable in the logic control of MODICS to Das which is now controlling most of the fire protection and detection.
• Must be technically trained and qualified to install, maintain and repair the wide variety of fire and gas equipment installed throughout the operations area.
• Able to perform his respective works on site or in the workshop and will include evaluating fault finding and rectifying systems faults. Records any changes to electronic/electrical drawings and diagrams.
• Able to receive work assignments from the fire and gas specialist and either works alone or with the help of helpers/labourers as required.
• Able to carry out other related duties such as making reports on preventive and breakdown maintenance work carried out, maintain good housekeeping etc.
• Able to comply with the safety regulations.
• Good English communication skills.
