HEAVY DUTY DRIVER:

• High School Graduate from a recognized Institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years working experience as Heavy Duty Driver.
• Must have a valid driver's license with restriction code of (2,3,8)
• With GCC / International driving license is an added advantage.
• Mainly assigned to Hubs to operate large trucks but can be assigned to Stations to operate small trucks if volume necessitates.
• Able to move packages between SMSA facilities according to established schedules.  Traveling long distances is frequent.
• Able to operate truck to move shipments between hubs, between hub and stations or between station and large service centers.
• Must ensure proper manifestation of all truckloads upon loading and unloading truck; signs manifests after tallying.
• Strictly adheres to schedule; reports one hour prior to truck departure time and conducts pre-trip inspection of the assigned truck.
• Uses pre-determined domestic road network; informs supervisor of changes in road conditions or opening of new roads; adjusts routes according to traffic conditions.
• Maintains vehicle in good condition; immediately reports vehicle problems.
• Follows all highway and road regulations.
• Maintains self in top physical, mental, and emotional condition during work; takes long pre-trip rest.
• Obstains from using prescription and over-the counter drugs that can cause drowsiness while driving.
• Good English communication skills.
