COURIER:

• At least High School Graduate or Vocational / Technical Degree from a recognized University / Institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years working experience as Courier or relative position involving customer interface or customer services.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Able to work in stations and are responsible for receiving packages, moving them along area line-hauls, and delivering them to customers safely and efficiently.
• Able to work closely with dispatchers and are supervised by the station’s Operation Supervisor
• Able to pick up and deliver packages from business clients according to established schedule and/or dispatcher request.
• Must accurately scan packages according to established procedures; maintains scanner and other equipment in good condition.
• Must ensure that packages conform to standards in terms if packaging, labelling, and paperwork.
• Determines legality of packages and ensures that special requirements for international shipments and dangerous goods are met.
• Knowledgeable in separating packages by service type and destination according to established procedures.
• Manifests packages according to established procedures.
• Able to answer customers’ questions on SMSA services and keeps them informed of current and new services.
• Must be able to operate a van or another vehicles not classified as truck safely and efficiently and ensures compliance with all governmental regulations; maintains vehicle clean and in good condition.
• Ensures that shipping materials and supplies are available for customers.
• Able to seek additional business from existing customers; provides the sales department with sales-leads; informs sales department of significant changes in customer use of the service and competitors products.
• Maintains professional, clean and neat appearance to uphold the public image of the company.
• Assumes other assignments specified by the Operations Supervisor.
• Good English communication skills.
